To begin this exercise, choose something simple…such as seeing a bird landing close by to you, allow it to sit and watch you, walking a bit around you as it examines you. At first, allow it to exist there for just a moment and then fly away. Hold onto this imagined experience within you and as often as you can remember to do so, imagine this scenario with this little bird, until you have managed to manifest the experience in this physical reality.
Once you have manifested this scenario in your physical reality, embellish this by perhaps allowing it to then sing to you, to do all sorts of things with you, but it is not advised to take this next step until you have mastered bringing the little bird into your physical reality at will, consistently.
This is a first step and an easy one to take, which will expand your beliefs about your creative abilities. It is most important to keep it simple at first, as the purpose is to provide your mind with evidence this is not only possible, but also how it works, by first putting your energy into practicing the imagining of it,and then seeing how it arrives in your physical reality.
Once this belief is more concrete, you can expand into areas more challenging to your belief system, to accept as them as possible also. An example would be something where you may have a fear and have placed much importance to see this “something” or experience manifested in your physical experience. This provides experiential proof which expands your belief system to encompass this as possible.
You may wish to also make notes or keep a log as to how long it takes for this imagined reality to show up, to manifest, and how often did you have to imagine it, etc…but all record keeping should be focused on AFTER the bird shows up the first time, and you are capable of bringing this “in” consistently, as a regular “visitor”.
Of course, the bird is just an example. I my case, I was outside when this exercise “arrived”. It came after focusing on hearing the bird singing, remembering and focusing on the fact that the bird is really me, coming from me, although unconsciously so at that time, and holding the thought of how nice it would be if it came over to me. I then closed my eyes to imagine that occurring.
The importance isn’t whether we can do this or not, because the fact is we are doing it, but not deliberately. It is also helpful to begin to realize how often we need to hold this scenario in our imagination, how long does it take to see the results. Do different imaginings take more time, etc,and why, and to begin to provide conclusive proof to the mind it can be done with everything, so that it CAN be done with everything, even the likes of walking throug walls, etc…but obviously thatwould be a bit more advanced!
Enjoy!
